  Getting to the Hotel

The Catamaran Hotel is conveniently located on the South of the Island and close to all amenities in Falmouth and English Harbours. To give you an idea of travel times around the island the list below is an estimate in time it takes to get from the Catamaran Hotel to other destinations. These times should be used as a guide only – as we all know – traffic, goats and donkeys can occasionally extend travel times beyond average!

  Getting to Antigua

There are flights into Antigua daily from around the world. These links are to the key airlines that are flying in and out of Antigua. Please ensure that you have checked hand and carry on luggage allowances and requirements before departing for the airport and that you leave ample time to arrive.

  • What is the electrictiy voltage?
    110v in all rooms
  • Do you have cooking facilities in the rooms?
    Yes all rooms come equipped with a fully fitted kitchenette with all utensils, coffee maker, toaster and fridge.
  • Do you have cable television?
    Yes all rooms have cable television with a mixture of local and international programming.
  • Do you have air conditioning?
    Yes all rooms are air conditioned and have ceiling fans.
  • Is there a nearby beach and swimming pool?
    The Catamaran Club is situated right on the beach in Falmouth and we have a lovely swimming pool overlooking the beach and Falmouth Harbour. The sea is shallow and calm and very safe for swimming for both adults and children.
  • Do you have a babysitting service?
    Yes, a babysitting service is available on request
  • Do you have telephones in each room, and is an internet connection available.
    Yes, every room has its own in room telephone as well as FREE wireless internet available to use with your own personal lap top or hand held device.
  • Are there any nearby supermarkets for us to purchase provisions?
    Yes , the Bailey supermarket is a 5 minute walk, and is fully stocked with most of the items you will need while on holiday. There is also a good café selling hot sandwiches, salads, burgers and chicken plus excellent ice cream.
  • Is there a PADI dive operation nearby?
    Yes there are a number of operators ion the English Harbour and Falmouth Areas. We usually recommend Aquanaut who have been in operation for over 20 years.
  • Do you have a shuttle to the airport?
    No but we have an excellent link with the taxi drivers in the area and will ensure that your return to the airport is timely.
  • Is there a laundry service?
    Yes - laundry service is provided by an outside service, and is available on request.
  • Do you have irons in the room?
    No but housekeeping will be happy to provide one on request.
  • Are there hair dryers in the rooms?
    Yes.
  • Does the hotel have smoke detectors?
    Yes, there are smoke detectors in every room.
  • Is there any problem with pests around the hotel?
    No as we use a pest control company regularly along with spraying for mosquitoes, although you still need to ensure you wear adequate protection against mosquitoes. We also have mosquito nets at all room windows. To help reduce the incidence of insects in your rooms you are advised to keep the doors closed at all times.
  • What is the loud insect noise we hear in the night?
    That is the local Crickets and frogs.
