When you’re blessed with year round sunshine and blue skies, every day is summer. Throw in a spattering of fluffy clouds; cool breeze from the trade winds; awe inspiring sunrises and sunsets; long, balmy, star-studded nights; and you’ve got Antigua.
Hotter in July, August, and September, Antigua is still temperate; and though cooler in the traditional winter months, it’s still sunny.
If there’s any season to watch out for, it’s hurricane season – which officially stretches from June 1st to November 30th; but, while nature will take its own course, the probability of a hurricane is quite low. In fact, Antigua has not been hit by one of these tempestuous storms since 1999.
When’s the best time to visit? That depends on what you’re after. But summer’s good for a great time and considerably cheaper prices; and, as it’s the off-season, summer in Antigua also means a quieter time – except perhaps for the few days of Carnival in the city, but that’s another story.
Don’t take our word on the weather, check out some good weather web sites and see for yourself why Antigua is considered the perfect year round destination.
